This Tuesday, Mike McGee and JJ Harrison dive into two modern reinventions of two or our favorite childhood classics, X-Men and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
X-Men: The Animated Series was a defining cartoon from our formative years, and as we’re sure you’ve heard and seen, X-Men ‘97 is an impressive and ambitious follow-up. Mike’s print features the beloved blue and gold team of mutants in all of their glory! Mike has created Magneto and Professor X editions, to symbolize the two main thought leaders influencing our marvelous mutants in the world of the X-Men.
JJ’s print for TMNT: The Last Ronin is an awesome ode to a truly unique take on a future TMNT story. With only one Turtle left alive, and a city overrun by a totalitarian ruler, Shredder’s grandson, Oroku, The Last Ronin is a fascinating and dark dive into the TMNT mythos. JJ has taken so many of the aspects of the story that we love and created a radical print that we’re stoked with. Also, JJ’s print does a great job of keeping secret who The Last Ronin actually is!
