This Tuesday, we honor the legendary Jim Lee with two prints depicting the World's Finest, Batman and Superman. We’ve also got a handful of amazing prints from David Welker’s recent Summer Open House to release for folks who couldn’t make it!
In 2002, Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb teamed up to rock the comics world with a storyline that’s still talked about to this day–HUSH. Beginning in Batman #608, Hush explored so much of Gotham, Batman, Batman’s rogue gallery, Batman’s allies, etc., and most importantly, allowed Jim Lee to draw his heart out for an epic storyline. Two years later, Jim teamed up with Brian Azzarello on a Superman story, allowing Jim to explore the Man of Steel and Metropolis. Jim’s comic work is iconic, and these images of Batman and Superman, chests puffed out, have always stuck with us so we’re excited to be able to release them as officially licensed screen prints!
Our annual Summer Welker Open House was this past Saturday, and we’d like to thank everybody who came out to celebrate with us and purchase some of David’s newest art. The show was a blast, and the entire gallery didn’t melt in the heat, which is a major plus! David’s newest risograph prints are his most complicated to date, and we’ve saved some stock of most prints presented at the show!
