It may not be October 31st, but the Halloween series is a year-round obsession for us here at Bottleneck. The second those hauntingly unforgettable piano strings start playing, and Michael Myers slowly shambles towards his next victim--well it’s just pure horror movie bliss.
We wanted to give all of our horror fans something really special to sink their teeth into, so we worked with Matthew Peak, son of legendary movie poster illustrator Bob Peak, on a spectacular officially licensed Halloween print. For those unfamiliar with Matthew's work, he was the original artist for the entire "A Nightmare on Elm Street" series:
Matthew’s print encapsulates both the old-school movie poster feel of classic horror film art, while bringing some modern printing magic into the mix. The classic image of Michael Myers’ weapon of choice in Halloween, a kitchen knife, has a reflective varnish layer that’s just killer in person.
Check out some detail shots of the finished prints:
Matthew’s Halloween print will be available Tuesday (5/9) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
