New York Comic Con is over, and we wanted to thank everybody who came by our booth during the massive event! We truly enjoyed meeting and chatting with everybody who came by, and we loved seeing the inventive costumes people created. The support that we received this year was truly incredible!
We saved a very small allocation of our exclusive NYCC Jaws prints from Robert Tanenbaum, as well as some A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors prints from Matthew Peak, which we’ll be releasing this Tuesday!
Robert Tannenbaum’s original artwork for Jaws first appeared in Variety magazine on May 22, 1974. Working closely with Robert, Vice Press, and the Universal/Amblin team, we were able to capture the brilliantly vivid imagery of Robert’s original art, and reel it in to shore as a screen print.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is one of our favorite horror movies, and Matthew’s original art for the film is undeniably creepy and cool. This officially licensed print for the 30th anniversary of the film has an added varnish layer that adds an almost lenticular effect to Freddy’s face, and makes the tortured teens coming after Freddy pop right off the page!
