Shang’s art blurs the line between reality and more colorful, cosmic affairs. Shang’s Journey in the Clouds series allows him to blend the real with the unreal in unique combinations, often with large, enticing plumes of rainbow clouds signaling a meshing between creative and real-life worlds. Journey in the Clouds 12 entrances us with a restful scene that unfolds into something magical stemming from the chamber of a pipe.
