AJ Masthay returns today with his newest online showcase "Look, For a While".
There is an overarching theme of experimentation in this body of work, specifically in the letterpress pieces. I continue to push myself artistically, both as a draftsman and in what can visually be accomplished through my chosen mediums. Pieces such as "Mammoth", "Dahlia" and "China Cat" are the culmination of these experiments. I've also returned to a more familiar format embarking on a grand new series of Zodiac signs with "Aquarius". Of course the gig posters need representation with my latest piece for Dead & Company's Playing in the Sand, even if the shows did get cancelled.
Thank you all in advance, these new pieces encompass almost a years work in the studio for myself and Kait, to have them finally out in the open is always exciting (and a little terrifying). I hope they bring you as much joy as I had in creating them.
All of the art pieces (prints & originals) will be available Friday (1/21) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
Prints that have gold or silver leaf will be shipped flat and charged a separate shipping charge.
