We’re closing off the week with Chris Skinner’s absolutely epic print for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Michael Cho’s take on the Batmen--all of them--with his cover art for Detective Comics Volume 2 #1000!
Chris’ piece for LOTR: The Two Towers brings the film’s large scale warfare to life as Gandalf and his forces clash with the Uruk-hai army. Chris’ approach to the print echoes classic fantasy imagery, all through a modern lens.
Michael’s print, which originally appeared as the cover to Detective Comics Volume 2 #1000, features a myriad of Batmen! The Caped Crusader’s had a long history of alternate Batties, and Michael’s brought them all together. Michael’s art is brilliantly bright, and features a gorgeous Golden Age comic aesthetic.
