This Wednesday, we’re roping everybody in for a wild taxi ride!
We’re joining our fellow art aficionados over at The Parallax Poster Corp. to release Matt Ryan Tobin’s exceptional alternative movie poster for Taxi Driver. Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver’s relevance as both a piece of art and examination of specific feelings, such as isolation and alienation in a bustling society, continues to be both relevant and important, and Matt’s newest poster strikes at the heart of the film directly and cleverly. Using the transformation of Travis and his job as a cabbie, Matt’s print is a literal head-turner.
Rafa Orrico Diez returns for another round of Alfred Hitchcock classics–this time, for the seminal Rope. Rope is a taut thriller, and Rafa’s print is, frankly, thrilling. Using his brilliant design aesthetics, Rafa’s print centers around the title of the film being entirely bound with malicious intent. We love the simplicity and intensity of the piece!
