SPIDER-MAN #1: TORMENT by Alex Ross - On Sale INFO!

Alex Ross swings back into the ‘90s with his homage art for Spider-Man #1: Torment!

One of our favorite aspects of comic art is when artists create homage art to other artists and previous landmark covers and images. This time around, we’ve got a legend-on-legend homage with Alex’s take on Todd McFarlane’s ubiquitous cover for Spider-Man: Torment. Alex’s painting is a marvel, with a stunningly realistic Spidey, suit wrinkles and all, crouching in his iconic McFarlane pose. Beyond the homage, Alex’s mastery shines through and we’re especially enthralled by the smaller details, such as the reflection in Spidey’s eyes.

We had to give Alex’s art the lenticular and multi-layer acrylic treatment to bring out the depth of the imagery, and we’ve also created an Amazing aluminum edition that compliments Alex’s color palette.

Alex’s Spider-Man editions will be available on Wednesday (6/24) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
