This Friday, Ken Taylor begins his journey in a galaxy far, far away and Alex Hovey helps us celebrate Pan’s Labyrinth’s return to theaters for its 20th anniversary!
Ken’s alternative movie poster for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope features the classic heroes and villains introduced in the film, against a split background that showcases Tatooine and Space, where Darth Vader and his forces gather. Ken’s likenesses are excellent, and we love how much detail he’s poured into these portraits. Ken is able to work wonders with a limited color palette, and this print perfectly showcases that!
With Pan’s Labyrinth returning to theaters this weekend, we wanted to commemorate the occasion with a brand new print from Alex. GDT’s film is an exquisite dark fantasy that has stayed lovingly lodged in our brains for two decades, and Alex’s print is the perfect ode to the film. Featuring a storybook framing and aesthetic, Alex’s piece features the iconic Faun front and center, surrounded by creatures and symbols from throughout the film.
Ken and Alex’s prints will be available on Friday (10/9) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
