This Friday, Laurent Durieux takes us for a ride.
We’re teaming up with our pals at The Parallax Poster Corporation for Laurent’s newest alternative movie poster for 1976’s Taxi Driver! Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver is a seminal film–a darkly psychological rumination on loneliness and vigilantism, centered around Robert De Niro’s iconic portrayal of Travis Bickle. Laurent’s superb poster for the cult classic places viewers directly in the diner as Travis’s transformation takes hold, with the beauty (and grime) of ‘70s New York City on full display. Laurent’s print is delicately lit by NYC’s neon signs and filled with various details from the film, and we can’t think of a better match for Laurent’s exceptional talents.
Laurent’s print will be available on Friday (5/1) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com!
