This Thursday, Peter Strain takes us to everybody’s favorite new New England town, Widow’s Bay, and Alvaro Calvo Escudero takes us on one last adventure!
Widow’s Bay is a show that seamlessly blends supernatural horror and dark comedy, all with great style and excellent character work. Peter’s print for the fun and freaky show features a brilliant portrait of Mayor Tom, filled in with some of our favorite characters from the show’s excellent first season. Peter’s print perfectly captures the vibes of the show and we love his use of minimal colors to make the blood red water really pop.
The Goonies remains one of the greatest adventure films, and continues to entertain folks decades later. Alvaro’s print, crafted like a map One-Eyed Willy may have left behind, is the perfect encapsulation of the feeling of adventure, friendship, and childhood.
