This Thursday, Juan Esteban Rodriguez concludes his The Lord of the Rings print trilogy with The Return of the King, and tackles an eye-opening classic film, A Clockwork Orange!
Juan’s print for The Return of the King puts the viewer in the midst of Shelob’s lair, entangled in her massively murderous clutches. Juan’s The Lord of the Rings print series has focused on the threats that the movie’s heroes must survive, and Shelob’s scene is by far one of the most memorable and terrifying situations for our hobbit heroes.
A Clockwork Orange is a film filled with memorable and often visceral imagery, but one scene in particular is as brilliant as it is difficult to watch, Alex’s aversion therapy. Juan’s focused on the most intense aspect of this scene, Alex’s face, and he’s nailed the tone of both the scenario as well as the movie.
