We take to the skies with Matthew Seaborne and then travel back to the ‘40s and ‘50s with Andrew Rowland this Tuesday!
Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo’s The Godfather and The Godfather Part II remain vital and stunning films decades after their release, and Andrew’s newest set of alternative movie posters pay stunning homage to the two bonafide classics. Andrew’s prints transport us directly into the gritty and bustling streets of Manhattan and we’re smitten with the details, color palettes, and attention to detail throughout this set. And since the films are infinitely quotable, each of Andrew’s prints contains an iconic quote from the one and only, Vito Corleone.
Appearing in comics in the early 1980s, The Rocketeer brought a flying everyman (via his trusty jetpack) pulp hero to comics. Cliff Secord’s high-flying hero is slick, clean, and simply cool, and Matthew’s print spotlights Cliff and his Rocketeer outfit, standing tall against an instantly recognizable New York City.
