This Thursday, we’re reveling in the nostalgia of some of our favorite movies, cartoons, and comics! Also, Mac and Me!
We’ve worked with Drew Struzan and our printers for years refining the process of bringing Drew’s genre-defining movie paintings to the screen print medium in unique ways that are respectful to Drew’s original work. A few years back, Drew’s art for Back to the Future was released through a different gallery and print company, but due to the difficulty of adapting Drew’s work, the fidelity of the prints didn’t match up with the quality and feel of Drew’s original painting. So, we’ve spent a massive amount of time working with Drew, Vice Press’ creative department, aka Matt Ferguson, and our printers to release a new edition of Drew’s Back to the Future print. We reworked the entire methodology for printing the image, by using index inks, and we’re proud to present this edition that more closely resembles Drew’s original artistic vision!
Speaking of the future, Doaly’s two prints for Batman Beyond are delightfully neon pink infused takes on two classic Beyond episodes. Batman Beyond stands strongly in the Batman: The Animated Series canon, and Doaly’s prints are schway beyond belief.
For our Marvel fans, we’re releasing Mark Bagley’s original cover for Venom Lethal Protector #1 as a screen print. Venom wasn’t always Spidey’s most fun villain, but this miniseries helped solidify Venom and Eddie Brock as wildly fun vigilantes.
We’re teaming up with tiny tinkerer extraordinaire Brad Hill for another charity release! This time around, Brad’s chosen to honor the Paul Rudd classic, Mac and Me, with a pin of Mac. Each of Brad’s Mac pins will be available for bidding on our eBay account and all proceeds are directly donated to the Brooklyn Animal Action.
