This Friday, we’re mutating our acrylic panel prints with our newest creation, Multi-Layer Acrylic prints, and our newest release, Jim Lee’s X-Men #1 Multi-Layer Acrylic Edition!
Jim Lee’s X-Men #1 cover art is one of, if not the, most iconic comic images of all time. Jim and Chris Claremont’s 1991 reboot of X-Men helped launch Marvel and all of our beloved mutants more into the mainstream consciousness with colorful, expressive, and modern comic art, and a gateway for new and old readers alike.
Working alongside Marvel, Acme, and our awesome acrylic production team, we’ve brought Jim Lee’s classic cover art to a new dimension as a Multi-Level Acrylic. Multi-Layer Acrylics are made using multiple layers of acrylic expertly arranged to create a subtle 3D effect that gives the art depth. This is a new medium that we’ve spent months testing, and we’re really proud of the results. We’ve got some great projects lined up for this new style of print and, as always, we’re excited to continue experimenting with different print mediums and we love seeing peoples’ reactions to these releases!
